Privacy Statement

Maccor, Inc. (“Maccor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Statement describes the information collected through our website at www.maccor.com (the “Site”), how we use it, whom we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you. This Statement applies to the Site only; it does not apply to information collected offline or through our products, sales agreements, or support contracts, which are governed by the applicable agreements.

1. Information You Provide to Us

You can browse the Site without providing any personal information. We collect personal information only when you choose to submit it, for example when you:

• Request a quote or contact our sales team — we collect your name, company, email address, phone number, country, product interests, and the content of your message.
• Submit a service or support ticket — we collect your name, company, contact details, equipment information, and a description of your issue.

We use this information to respond to your inquiry, provide quotes and support, communicate with you about our products and services, and maintain our business records. We do not use this information for automated decision-making or profiling.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Like nearly all websites, our web hosting and security infrastructure automatically logs certain technical information when you visit the Site, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to deliver the Site to your browser, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical problems. It is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

We use Google Analytics, a web-analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use the Site so that we can improve it. When active, Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. This information is processed by Google; see Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy for details of its practices, and note that it involves a transfer of information to Google in the United States.

We also use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether our online advertising leads to meaningful actions on the Site, such as a quote request or contact form submission. When active, it sets cookies on your device and records whether a visit that began from one of our ads resulted in such an action, along with information such as the ad clicked, the time of the visit, and your device and browser type. We use this only to measure the effectiveness of our advertising in aggregate. We do not use remarketing, build audience lists from Site visitors, or use Site data to show you personalized ads, and we instruct Google, through its consent settings, not to use this data for ad personalization.

Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking are loaded through Google Tag Manager, a tool provided by Google that manages which of these services run on the Site. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies for tracking purposes, and it is loaded only after you give consent.

3. Service Providers

We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Site. These providers process information on our behalf and, except as described below for Google, are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Form processing — contact and quote form submissions are transmitted to us through third-party form-handling services, which receive the information you enter along with your IP address in order to deliver your message to us. To protect the form against spam and automated abuse, it uses hCaptcha, a bot-detection service provided by Intuition Machines, Inc. in the United States. hCaptcha loads only when you begin filling in the form; it then collects technical information such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, and how you interact with the verification check, and may set strictly necessary security cookies. • Support ticketing — our support page includes an embedded ticket form provided by a third-party helpdesk service, which receives the information you enter and standard technical data needed to display the form.
• Website infrastructure — our Site is delivered through content delivery and security networks, and some common software libraries are loaded from public content delivery networks. These services receive your IP address and standard browser information as a technical necessity of delivering the Site. Our Site is protected by Cloudflare, which sets a short-lived security cookie to distinguish people from automated bots. The interactive map on our Worldwide Representatives page is shown only if you click “Show Interactive Map”; it then loads map images from CARTO, which receives your IP address and standard browser information in order to display the map. The representative listings on that page are available without the map.
• Analytics — if you accept optional cookies, Google Analytics (provided by Google) receives information about your visit, including your IP address, in order to produce aggregated usage statistics for us. Google processes this information in the United States. This service is not loaded unless and until you consent.
• Advertising measurement — if you accept optional cookies, Google Ads (provided by Google) receives information about your visit, including your IP address and whether you completed an action such as a form submission, so that we can measure the performance of our ads. We have configured this service so that the data is not used for ad personalization. This service is not loaded unless and until you consent.
• Tag management — if you accept optional cookies, Google Tag Manager (provided by Google) loads the Google services described above. It receives your IP address and standard browser information as a technical necessity of loading those services.

Several of these providers, including Google, Cloudflare, hCaptcha, and CARTO, are located in or process information in the United States. Where we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on the safeguards available under applicable law, such as the provider’s participation in a recognized data transfer framework or standard contractual clauses.

Google may process information received through these services in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy, including to maintain and improve its services and to prevent fraud.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties to target personalized advertising to you or for their own marketing purposes. We share personal information only: (a) with the service providers described above; (b) with our authorized sales and support representatives in your region, so they can respond to your inquiry; (c) as required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights; or (d) in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this Statement would continue to apply to your information.

5. Data Retention

We retain inquiry and support information for as long as needed to respond to you, fulfill any resulting business relationship, and satisfy our legal and record-keeping obligations. Technical log data is retained for a limited period consistent with security and operational needs. Google Analytics data associated with cookies or identifiers is retained for no longer than 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted; aggregated reports that do not identify individual visitors may be kept longer.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request a copy of it, to request that we correct or delete it, and to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

California residents: the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides California residents with the rights described above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Our use of Google Ads is limited to measuring the performance of our own advertising; we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and analytics and advertising measurement run only if you opt in through our cookie banner.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other regions: where applicable law provides similar rights (such as the GDPR), you may exercise them as described below. Our legal bases for processing are the performance of steps you request prior to entering a contract, our legitimate interests in operating the Site and responding to inquiries, compliance with legal obligations, and, for Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and the optional cookies they use, your consent, which you may withdraw at any time through the “Cookie Settings” link without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is a business-to-business website intended for professional audiences. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Links to Other Websites

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including our LinkedIn page. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

10. Cookies and Your Choices

Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device. This Site uses three categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site and its embedded forms to function and to keep the Site secure. These are always active and cannot be switched off through the consent banner, because the Site relies on them to work. They include:
  • __cf_bm (set by Cloudflare on www.maccor.com) — distinguishes people from automated bots to protect the Site. Expires after 30 minutes.
  • hCaptcha security cookies, including __cf_bm (set on hcaptcha.com, only when you begin filling in our contact form) — protect the form against spam and automated abuse. Short-lived.
  • maccor_cookie_consent (stored in your browser’s local storage, not sent to us) — remembers whether you accepted or declined optional cookies so we don’t ask on every page. Kept for up to 6 months.
• Optional analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to help us understand how the Site is used. These are off by default and are set only if you accept them through our cookie banner.
• Optional advertising measurement cookies — set by Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to actions on the Site, such as form submissions. These are off by default and are set only if you accept them through our cookie banner. They are not used for remarketing or to show you personalized ads.

When you first visit the Site, the banner lets you accept or decline all optional cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of every page, and we will ask you again periodically. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how parts of the Site function.

11. Changes to This Statement

We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice on the Site.
